The Lamb Inn makes an ideal venue for all kinds of functions whether it’s a birthday party or office Christmas meal.

We’re a classic country pub with plenty of space and fantastic food fit for any occasion throughout the year, from birthdays to celebrations, weddings or Christmas events it can be done in style and comfort with our friendly atmosphere, beautifully refurbished interiors and roaring open fire!

We can now offer a full butler service in the comfort of your own home for your private event, from drinks and nibbles to lunch or dinner, or a birthday party. Please speak to Robert directly to discuss your requirements

We put on a special menu for Christmas but below you can see the function menus used through the rest of the year, of course, you can request a tailor made selection if you prefer;

Function menu 1 - £18.95

• Roasted Vegetable and Stilton Soup (v)
• Chicken Liver and Mushroom Pâté with Melba Toast
• Salad of Grilled Fresh Figs, Bacon Lardons and Goats’ Cheese
  
• Smoked Mackerel, Prawn and Crayfish Terrine with Horseradish Mayo and Melba Toast

Followed by;

• Roasted Fillet of Salmon with Chorizo, Capers and Basil Pesto
• Steak, Red Wine and Mushroom Pie served in Puff Pastry
• Wellington of Flat Mushroom, Sweet Potato, Peppers and Smoked Cheese, Parsley and Onion Sauce (v)
• Braised Shank of Lamb on Rosemary Mash with Red Wine and Mint Sauce
• Caesar Salad with Wild Mushrooms and Pine Nuts (v)
• Lemon and Herb grilled Suffolk Chicken Breast

And finished with our homemade desserts;

• Lemon and Lime Cheesecake with Clotted Cream
• Blackcurrant and Vanilla Crème Brûlée with a Shortbread Biscuit

Function menu 2 - £25.95

• Homemade Soup of Stilton and Roasted Vegetable topped with Herb Croutons and Cream
• Fresh King Scallops Grilled with Basil Pesto and Parmesan Breadcrumbs
• Smoked Mackerel, Prawn and Crayfish Terrine with Horseradish, Mayo and Melba Toast
• Rissotto of Prawns, Crayfish, Chilli, Coconut and Parmesan
• Salad of Fresh Figs, Bacon Lardons and Stonegate Goat’s Cheese
• Creamy Garlic Mushroom and Stilton Tartlet with Watercress Pesto
• Chicken Liver, Port and Mushroom Pâté with Cumberland sauce and melba toast

Followed by;

• Crispy Gloucester Old Spot Pork Belly with Apple Dauphinoise and Onion Gravy
• Roasted Norfolk Farm Chicken Breast stuffed with Smoked Cheddar and Garlic Butter, served with Dauphinois Potatoes
• Steak, Red Wine and Mushroom Pie served in a Puff Pastry
• Braised Shank of Lamb on Roasted Smoked Garlic Mash with a Mint and Redcurrant Sauce
• 10oz rib eye of Chilley Farms’ extra Matured Sussex Beef with Dauphinois Potatoes and Red Wine and Mushroom Sauce
• Homemade Vegetarian Wellington of Peppers, Sweet Potatoes, Mushrooms and Smoked Cheddar with a Parsley and Onion Sauce (v)
• Loin of local Cod with a Smoked Bacon and Mussel Velout and Parsley Mash
• Fresh Fish Puff Pastry Pie of Cod, Salmon, Smoked Haddock, Prawns and Crayfish Tails in a White Wine and Mushroom Sauce
